I like everything about my KRISS Vector but to me the trigger has alittle to much drag and creep.
On a Lyman trigger gauge on my KRISS trigger pull avg was 7lb

In this picture here is where the creep comes from the machine marks in the trigger bar.
KRISS Trigger Job and Trigger picture info IMG_1745

Set it up in the vise like this
KRISS Trigger Job and Trigger picture info IMG_1746

Used 1500 wet dry sand paper just to polish the trigger bar and try not to remove much material
KRISS Trigger Job and Trigger picture info IMG_1748

almost done in this picture but I finished it with a polished job
KRISS Trigger Job and Trigger picture info IMG_1749

I then use some rubbing compound on the trigger bar and sear.

I now have a smooth pull and its around 6lb 12oz pull
then I also removed 1 of the 2 trigger return springs and its just under 6lb pull

i was thinking about trying this. did you have to remove the upper rail in order to remove the trigger housing?

also, about how long did the total project take?

Thanks.

I have done the trigger sanding and polishing as shown. I still think it is too heavy. Could you narrow this flat area or sand it into a semi-pointed surface so there is less of a contact area.

It would seem narrowing the flat would be less drag
I was going to try the same thing but just haven't yet

I started to do this, then couldn't get the top rail to budge at all. Did you have any issues getting the Loctite-sealed screws to turn? Is a heat gun okay, or too risky with the polymer?

Crap, and it didn't break?! The Armorer's Guide suggests using a nylon stock, but I wouldn't even begin to know where to find one, much less where to position it.

Remember to take out the front pin. I used a piece of nylon chopping board that I cut for a previous project. Got it from Walmart.

Yeah I had the pin out, just couldn't get it to budge. Do you mean a cutting board? would've never thought of that. I should have some free time soon to attempt again, thanks again.

Took the trigger apart last night to get rid of the creep and reduce the trigger weight. I polished up the trigger bar with some wet sand paper and got it real smooth. Then I polished the notch in the hammer where the trigger bar meets the hammer. Took me awhile to put it all back together, but turned out great!! I don't have a way to measure the trigger weight, but it is much less than before...plus absolutely no creep. This thread was pretty helpful on trigger work. I started out taking a few pics then got busy with the project. Pics of rail removal and three top screws.

I kind of hate to ask, but would doing this affect your warranty?

I would be greatly surprised if it did not. That said, those that are past their included (or extended after re-registering) warranty period are probably not too worried about it.
