Big ol' let down!!!
Wow! This has been a long road! Bought my KrissV CRB in August 2011 (I think). Had been wanting one since I saw it in a gun shop here in Austin. Decided I wanted an SBR and suppressor.
Oct 22, 2012 - Submitted Form 1 to chop it to SBR and Form 4 for a Silencerco Osprey 45 suppressor
Aug 20, 2013 - Received both forms back from ATF. Also found out that the guy that was going to chop and thread the barrel no longer does it.
Oct 16, 2013 - Left my gun with my buddies brother at https://www.identmarking.com to get engraved. Decided to have Kriss do all the work, so as not to void the warranty. Then I realized that I need to chop the barrel before I send it to them. Apparently, Kriss cannot accept a normal firearm and convert it to an SBR, unless they file the paperwork. I had filed the Form 1 myself. That was a little nerve racking taking a hacksaw to my barrel, but it all worked out.
Nov 18, 2013 - Sent the Kriss with chopped barrel to Kriss to replace with factory 5.5".
In the meantime, I've enjoyed using the Osprey on my Glock 21.
Feb 20, 2014 - Got my Kriss back today!!!!! 3 MONTHS later.
Only to realize that the threading (16x1 LHM) does not match my Osprey (.578x28 V2).
To save everyone else some time...
If you purchase an Osprey 45 suppressor for your Kriss. I supposed the Kriss is always 16x1 LHM thread, so you will need the following:
1. Osprey piston (16x1 LHM)
2. Fixed Barrel Spacer
I just ordered both. Hopefully I will have reached my goal next week when they arrive and I can finally shoot my Kriss SBR with Osprey. Only a year and 5 months after I started down this journey. Hopefully someone can learn from my mistakes (and procrastination
) and get theirs in MUCH faster time.

Re: Big ol' let down!!!
That is odd. You had to cut the barrel down yourself? Why? They just swap it out anyway.
Re: Big ol' let down!!!
Since I submitted the Form 1 myself, that means I was going to perform the conversion to SBR. Kriss said they could not accept a normal CRB along the with tax stamp and then convert it. They would have had to submit the paperwork to perform the actual conversion.

Yeah by filing the form yourself you have to do the conversion yourself. I understand why they would need to file. But not sure why cutting the barrel was necessary. Maybe they did the conversion as a "warranty repair"?
