Problem with KRISS Extended 30 Mag
Hi folks
I'm using two of the KRISS Extended 30 Mag’s.
By the way: My dealer said (and a few others here too), that’s impossible to load more than 27/28 round into it. It’s true; without modification on the mag; it’s impossible. I've disassembled the mag and cut off the edges of the two clips, they snap in into the outer case; problem solved. The spring doesn’t hang there no longer...
The strange thing is: when I remove 15 rounds by hand, the spring hangs inside of the gap from the upper and under part of the mag (I think). The spring has less pressure to the bullets at this moment and I can move the next (16th) bullet very easily by one finger. When I shake the mag, I can hear the last bullet in the mag. After removing the 16th bullet, the spring comes back with full pressure.
Is there a common solution for this?
Thank you in advance
Keef

Re: Problem with KRISS Extended 30 Mag
First of all, the Kriss extended mags are not 30 rounders. They are called Kriss 25+ mags because you can definitely load them with 25 rounds and "sometimes" as many as 28 rounds. Secondly you may have to take the mag that is giving you trouble and pull it apart, smooth out the sides of the follower and make sure there is no flashing in the transition between the OEM mag body and the extension. I had to do that to a couple of mags and they work 100% with 25 rounds now.

Re: Problem with KRISS Extended 30 Mag
Thank you for the hint
But why do they write 30 on the mag and drilled so much holes in it, that they correspond with 30 rounds? Strange world :-)
