kriss barrel cut/rethread info
the only info i've come across for doing this was some guys email address on this forum and with no additional info on google for him i was apprehensive sending my lower in the mail.
found these guys though, and for me its local
www.class3machining.com
real website, does cutting/threading for 30+ other companies, and most importantly already made a jig for the kriss
lets not forget, $cheap$
$10 for shipping $50 for normal thread
i said normal because i would assume the kriss is a bit of a pain and would rightly cost more
i plan on updating as soon as i contact them for rethreading mine to .578x28

I am in the same situation as well, don't necessary trust sending it to someone based on their email address. Have you had any luck with class3machining.com?

Re: kriss barrel cut/rethread info
Im getting a muzzle break intstalled/timed and a couple of barrles threaded currently. Just dropped them off this past Friday. Should be ready Mon-Tues.
I can say he has an awesome turn around though, sent a pic of my kriss rethreaded to .578 before I got home from dropping them off.

I'm about to send my Kriss in for threading. Can you confirm the quality of service?

Re: kriss barrel cut/rethread info
So I got my Kriss SBR back. So far I am impressed. I took the gun out to the range yesterday where I put 250 rounds through the Kriss with the suppressor without any issues. More importantly there wasn't a single scratch or blemish on the body, pretty impressive considering you have to spin the entire thing at 400+ RPM to thread it.
The only complaint I have about the guy is that he initially promised 2 days turn around time and it took him little over two weeks to complete it. This was during the spring break though so he may have been on vacation with his kids.
Overall highly recommend it!

One thing that surprised me quiet a bit was how much off the point of impact is with a suppressor on a Kriss. At 20 yards I'm up and to the left about 5 inches. My FNX and HK pistols maintain the same point of impact with or without this suppressor.

Re: kriss barrel cut/rethread info
I am not sure if you can index the SilencerCo suppressor but you can with the AAC TiRANT. You sight the SBR in without the suppressor mounted. Then you install the suppressor and fire a few rounds. If POI is not the same as POA just unscrew the body from the piston enough to rotate the piston one notch at a time. Keep test firing and rotating until POI is the same as POA. Once you are spot on every time you take the suppressor off and re-install POI will remain the same.

I used Class 3 Machining just recently and he did an awesome job. Turn around was quick and communication was excellent. He (Morgan) has a facebook page if you want to check out more of his work or ask questions Class 3 Machining.
