Is this thordenson buffer tube a legal mod?

Anyone have any comments on this? I would consider it legal?

Is that a pistol or sbr?

Any input guys? I am the owner of the pistol. I used the buffer tube I bought from them. So it's no different than the signs brace. It's a cheek rest as far as I know. If it is not please by all means say so & I'll take it off...

If you shoulder it, it techically needs to be a form 1 sbr.

Exactly. I only use it as a check rest. Same as the sig brace if I'm correct. Anymore input?

If you are using it as a cheek rest, you are shouldering it. The sig grace wasnt intended to use as a cheek rest. It was meant to wrap around the forearm for support.

Here's the letter. I want to make sure it isn't a problem.

I just called thordsen tech support & he explained that it is legal on non ar type pistols. There is even a few lines in the atf letter stating it is legal as long as the buffer tube has the cheeck rest. It is a cheeck rest & legal. Any input?

Nice to hear. I was trying to ask about the mod protecting your identity by using the ig. Glad I didn't offend bc I wasn't trying. Thanks for the info

Of course. Thanks for the thought but if atf thought I had a sbr I'm sure they could find me . Like I said I don't want any problems but I'm confident it is a legal mod.
