Re: Accuracy Issues
so can I ask why you bought 2 Vectors
and I guess you already sent off the paper work for the stamp
I have a SBR waiting a stamp and I was also thinking of getting a carbine

Re: Accuracy Issues
Strange. Mine is flawless. Beyond the nuanced quirks. Mine eats anything I feed it.
I tried twisting the receivers like you said. Nothing. Rock solid.

Re: Accuracy Issues
Hello CatMostFeared
I buy everything in 2's............one for me, one for my wife...... Pistols, AK's, AR's suppressors....
This weapon is being touted as a close quarter battle weapon..... I define that as 25 yards or less............ anything beyond that is a folly. I thought is was perfect for close quarter (home) defense. Too many flaws......
Anyway, I am thinking of selling the pair.......... They are both SBR so it complicates the sale a little............
Name a good price and they are yours.....

Re: Accuracy Issues
They both were bought as a pistol.......the SBR conversion (stock added) was done by the book...
This is NOT a 16 inch barrel cut to SBR....
Anyway.......the more I think about all the problems....the more I want to sell....

Re: Accuracy Issues
I would have thought that a $1,700 carbine would be accurate.

Re: Accuracy Issues
i will need to do a 25 yd group and see what i get. But so far my KRISS is pretty good. All of my shooting is off-hand involving some bit of movement.
dhshammer, where are you located?

Re: Accuracy Issues
Thats us!
In fact, she has never shot hers. We used mine at first and it quickly became clear that she had a very hard time operating it. The charging handle is difficult for her to slide back for example. In fact, if you look at the new Kriss design, you will see that they moved the charging handle.
She immediately abandoned her suppressed SBR Kriss in favor of either her Beretta storm or our DDM4's.
Try this..... sight it in at 25 yards (the Kriss people recommend a 35 yard zero). Then set up a new target at 20 feet (close quarters). Go for a forehead shot or a 10 ring shot. Post your results.

that wont work the barrel is 2-3" away from the sites just like my PS90 and I site the barrel in parallel
with my site and always shoot 2-3: above my target
Re: Accuracy Issues
Just posted a new topic showing the results of a recent accuracy test with the KRISS SBR and CBR at 25, 50, and 100 yards.

Re: Accuracy Issues
I stumbled upon this listing and the seller mentions he has a "shim kit" in his Vector (CRB). Hmmmmmmdhshammer wrote:...I discovered an issue that may affect accuracy. There is play between the upper and lower receiver. If you twist the upper (rear) and lower (forward) grip in opposite directions, you will notice that a gap of about 1.5 millimeters appears between the receivers.

Thank you mambro.
I guess this shim kit is a secret, but available.

Re: Accuracy Issues
I think that this "shim kit" is a figment of that seller's imagination to enhance the gun he's selling.
However, the fact that someone would think that a "shim kit" is necessary for the Kriss is fascinating.

Re: Accuracy Issues
The KRISS really interested me for a while. But seeing things like this are really disappointing.
I can do 1/2" groups with my PS90s all day long. Others claim 1" groups at 100 yards (I can't see that far, unmagnified at 100 yards, to shoot "groups" at 100 yards).
But, for a carbine, I'd be disappointed at anything greater than an inch to an inch and a half at 50 yards.

Hi Shipwreck
Check out this thread.....

This is AFTER 8 months of R&D PNW engineers put into making a round specifically for the Kriss.

Thanks for the link.
That is disappointing, IMHO. In semi auto fire, I think that is disappointing for a rifle/carbine.
Re: Accuracy Issues
Now that is what I call a group. Great Job.
