Other KRISS Vectors
Canadian KRISS. You think a 16" barrel and shroud is bad? They need 18" of barrel and shroud.
This was a prototype of the KRISS Carbine.
I actually would like to try this carbine out. I could grip it further out with my left hand. Something I cant quite do with the KRISS now.

Re: Other KRISS Vectors
I like that concept. I think kriss should design one around a standard AR mag and eventually a .308 version

Hi Guys
my name is Marek and i'm from Canada, I just picked up my KRISS last weekend and i've already put 300+ rounds through it. although having the 18.5" barrel on it i have to admit that i really dont mind as it helps a little with the accuracy. Not to mention with Canadian gun laws having a semi auto rifle that is non restricted is awesome. (basically that means that i can shoot it anywhere i possibly want) the other options are:
restricted (all ARs, hand guns and most other Military guns (semi only). These you are only allowed to shoot at a range and you must have a membership to that range. They can only be transported from home to the range and back and you need a special transport license for that.
prohibited (everything full auto or has a barrel shorter than 4.25") Unless grandfathered you cant own these... period.
So although a little long the fact that i can shoot this where ever and carry it where ever is awesome now if only i could find some accessories and rails for canada...
also how much is ammo in the states compared to here? Here a box of 50 remmington is $27 ish

Re: Other KRISS Vectors
Welcome Marek.
Where in Canada are you?
Prices for ammo is really dependent on brand and type. I recently picked up a box of 100 Winchester White Box (it comes in a white box) for only $35. They are FMJ. I cant recall the grain but it isnt anything exotic.
my friend in Pittsburgh got a 100 box oh hollow points in 45 auto for $35.
we both shopped at Walmart.
If you dont mind me asking, can you take a picture of your KRISS Vector and post it in the picture thread? Im curious which version you got. If it has all the updates and what not. Is it true you are limited to 5 rd magazine limit? I am unfamiliar with Canadian gun laws. Did not know about the restrictions. How is it that the KRISS gets past the restrictions? what other guns can do that in Canada?
With regards to rails, I would take a look at my posts in the accessories and mods section.
What do you want to attach to the rail? I assume a light or laser? I would steer clear of the left side with regards to rails. They can get in the way of the charging handle. I have made up a light mount that will work for the charging handle side. If you are interested contact me with what you are mounting and i can work with you. If you want the rails, why not just order them online? They shouldnt be a restricted item.

Take pictures of my gun? i will when i get home today. As far as canadian gun laws go, they are the weirdest most awkward to understand. For example any rifle is only limited to 5 rounds but I can use ten round handgun mags with my vector. all handguns are allowed ten rounds. But my Vector is classified as a non restricted rifle, so explain that! There are a couple other guns that get past this that i can think of, most .22 calibre rifles do. But as far as other rifles i can only think of a few. The IMI Tavor 21 is one but it goes for about $2700 up here ($700 more than my KRISS) and the other is the SIG 550 which is also non restricted i believe but it retails for about $4000! so i picked the KRISS cause its cheaper and i can use ten round mags legally where as with the other i cant. Why it got past restrictions i have no idea... that's Canada though
As far as ammo goes there really isnt any place that you can buy .45 acp cheap. Walmarts up here dont sell it, so its either cabelas or wholesale sports or mom and pop shops. Which for 500 rounds is about $250 for federal or remmington ammo. Yeah i need a side rail because i want to mount a laser but importing gun accessories is hit and miss. I tried to import some for some airsoft guns and they got confiscated so now i'm warry about it. I'll send you a PM later and we can discuss

Re: Other KRISS Vectors
Very cool. Yours is the most recent variation. The Safety Selector is a simple Dot and the angle of the switch is more ergonomic. The .45 ACP engraving is above the Super V logo and above the side rail hard points it says "KRISS VECTOR"
Older versions have a F/S markings, .45 ACP markings are on the upper receiver and above the rail it says KRISS SUPER V, VECTOR CRB/SO

Re: Other KRISS Vectors

Re: Other KRISS Vectors
The red lettering is just a customization. Very technical and expensive. Haha j/k. It is Red Crayon. I'm lazy so rather melt the red crayon, I just rub it in and wipe the excess.

Welcome Mareshow!
Looks like the Canadian compliant KRISS Vector CRB measures in at 18.6" to nudge past the 18.5 magic number:

http://www.kriss-tdi.com/dealers/canada.htmlKRISS firearms are now available for purchase in Canada. KRISS is now distributing its Canadian compliant CRB model throughout Canada. The Canadian compliant CRB contains an 18.6" barrel, folding stock, and comes with a 10-round Glock 21 magazine.

yeah its a shame that dealer is in Ontario a mere 3500km away haha. Thanks for the welcome guys yeah the whole 18.5" barrel thing is kinda retarded just like we cant have 4" revolvers they have to be 4.25"... makes no sense sometimes... anyways i'd love to see some pictures or a vid on the technique you used for that lettering...

Re: Other KRISS Vectors
Take a red crayon. Then rub crayon across the side. Small bits will get stuck in the words. Wipe away excess.
