Fun run with my other guns.

I was in Pittsburgh over the weekend. Met up with my friend Bryan who is a fellow Firearms enthusiast. We went to his club's shooting range. Set up some temporary partitions and did a little CQB and pseudo 2-gun stuff. Also I traded my Mossberg 500 for his Ruger 10/22 (my wife wants a 10/22).

Yeah, It fell off and Bryan picked it up. I edite out the part of him picking it up and looking right into the camera haha. Im not entirely sure how it fell off. I think maybe I didnt snap the quick disconnect mount securely so it worked its way out. Also it was clipped into the factory plastic mount, which is glued to the underside of my STRIEKMARK offset mount.

The front sight laser combo in that review is a Leapers unit... and it's crazy cheap... as in $35 retail cheap.

I dislike lasers in the day time. I find them hard to see at distance. As opposed to red dots.

I need to shoot my KSG more to get faster. Im using the KRISS MI BUIS and I dont have a problem with them. (it's a shotgun dont need to be terribly accurate haha)

The things that are slowing me down are simply the operation of the KSG. I forgot that I had a round in the chamber. I will just not chamber a load any more to solve that problem.

Also when the gun goes dry, it takes me a moment to remember to switch over the mag tune selector. I also should try flipping it with my fire control thumb rather than my support hand.

I have an action shotgun match coming up this sunday. So more range time with the KSG.

I'm also confused with some of the terms used in that video, given the who/what/where of it all.

This is why I am skeptical of Police and their overly developed sense of worth. Dont get me wrong, they do hard work for very little pay and very little thanks. But being a hero for doing your job is not what a hero is. They make a big deal out of being police. And I see that often they dont train properly or even practice properly.

I do give the guy credit. He is running that KSG pretty quickly. But Im sure he is more familiar with the KSG than I am. I have only shot it 3 times now. Not nearly enough to get acquainted with it and run it smooth. Im still working our issues with my performance with the Vector.
