Anyone here ever buy a barrel from KRISS?
I have a pistol and have thought about buying a 16" barrel to convert it to a rifle on occasion. Do they sell barrels separate?

I doubt it. The problem is the swagged trunnion assembly. It is not something that you can perform or any regular gun smith can perform.
You are the only person to want to convert their pistol into a rifle haha.

I understand. It just seems odd. Almost everyone wants the SBR, as it is the closesnt legal thing to the SMG. I prefer my Carbine. Partially because NY doesnt allow SBR. But if i could, would I? I like having the longer barrel for competition. Im not doing any CQB with this thing and even if I use it for HD im sure I can manage.

I like the short barrel for use with a can. Just thought it might be nice to have a long one while I wait on my paper work:)

It seems like I read somewhere somebody talking to KRISS USA directly about getting a lower assembly (with barrel) to do this kind of thing with, since the upper would be plug-and-play movable. I don't remember if they were looking to get one with the slider/bolt included or not. Worth asking the folks at KRISS USA about.... gotta be less than a whole CRB.cpu77 wrote:I have a pistol and have thought about buying a 16" barrel to convert it to a rifle on occasion. Technically it would be a firearm. Just like an AR lower.
