Legality of Vertical Fore Grip Empty Legality of Vertical Fore Grip

I just bought an SDP and one of the first things I did was add a VFG.
Is this considered illegal? Please respond ASAP!

I'm under the impression that adding a vertical grip to any pistol is illegal in all states.

I think thats a federal law.

Someone please correct me, with a link to prove it, if I'm wrong.

I know the [Magpul] afg is not considered a vertical foregrip. It is not federal law.

Dear God, this is an absolute absurdity. What kind of bass ackwards nonsense this is. This statute was defiantly put in place by some liberal @$$ clown wack job. I can't believe that this kind of control is in place in such places as Texas. It's a plastic grip for the Love of God. Not some rocket launcher! Might as well get a bloody SBR stamp and the libtards can kiss my white @$$!

I have read that the MagPul AFG does not fall under the same classification as the standard "broomstick" vertical fore grip.

It is federal law that you can't put a standard "broomstick" vertical fore grip on a pistol.

Yeah but now I have to buy another AFG and hack it to make it fit so some limp wrist desk jockey can feel safe from those gun clinging Christians.

This has really pissed on my parade.

I would opt for an AFG by default but didn't want to spend the time modding the thing to fit and not be completely satisfied. I've seen the pics on this forum.
But when you work a full time job, I don't want to spend my free time with a Dremel and vice I want to spend it shooting.

yup you cant put a Vertical Fore Grip on a pistol because it makes the pistol more evil. No

A $5 tax stamp and you can make your pistol a AOW

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Gun laws are absurd, and largely driven by ignorance, fear, and other related emotions. Logic doesn't really come into play here.

Yes, that is for the SBR [manufacturing] stamp. Cat was referring to the AOW [transfer] approach for $5.

Here is another thread on another forum that touches on this:

http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=70705

I have trimmed this thread a little for accuracy, including my own. Headbang

To make an AOW is $200. AOW transfers are the $5 one.
