Thanks. It took on a life of its own. 1 neon turned into 2, 3, 4... tv, stereo, kegerator... best room in our house. Electric bill is not too bad. I only turn them on when I'm in there.

^ Wait... the barrel shroud and the grip are one piece?
I think I kinda like that!
What is that, and what is the length of the shroud part?

It's a Magpul AFG 1 cut and epoxied to a Magpul VFG, then filled with epoxy, then sanded for the final shape/contours. I attached them to a spare picatinny rail for alignment as I was adding/setting the epoxy. The grip assembly is epoxied to a 1.5" inner diameter carbon fiber tube with vent holes drilled using RubbaDubbaBubba's template method ( http://www.krisstalk.com/t721-another-shroudy-day-updated-04-04-2013?highlight=-+Another+Shroudy+Day ). The entire grip/forend is sprayed with black truck bed liner for the final finish. The overall length of the forend piece is 6" and protrudes 4" past the lip of the AFG. The forend is free floating with about 1/16" celearance around the factory barrel shroud.
I made this because I wanted a free float forend to be able to use a thumb-over-bore grip, or have the option of gripping via the AFG/VFG. The entire assembly can be removed by unscrewing the 3 bolts in the AFG/VFG and sliding off the bottom rail. It requires no modifications to the KRISS, and adds negligible weight.

Bud, you have some talent. Looks factory, I am not a fan of home-made mods but this one is off the chart. You should patent it..

Couldn't decide on the Radlock or Kydex Grip Wrap. So I installed the Radlock first and I hated it. So then I went the Wrap route and also installed an extended mag release button as well and feel in luv all over again.

It all depends on the match director. In many cases a rifle/pistol match will have close range targets for pistol. But rifle targets could be a couple hundred yards. The Vector doesn't do that well at distance so you may be at a severe disadvantage.
One possible consists ion would be a shotgun pistol competition. Since shotgun targets are usually steel and paper for slug. In my club matches we ha Ve clay pigeons strung up on a stick.
