Small Design Flaw
I love the Kriss but do have one criticism and believe it is a minor design flaw. Although the push pin concept is great for fast takedown it doesn't lend itself to accuracy. When a Surefire light is installed the tape switch cable pushes on the frame lug which in turn spreads the upper and lower slightly. Upper and lower play is not an accuracy problem with a carbine like an AR because the barrel is attached to the upper and so is your optic or sights. With the Kriss the barrel is fixed to the lower and the optic or sights are attached to the upper. If you get slight play between upper and lower that inaccuracy is magnified the farther down range a bullet travels.
Not a big beal, just a small one but a solid upper to lower fit would have been nice,

Re: Small Design Flaw
Not much you can do about vertical shift. Besides making a clamp to hold the two receivers together or don't use a light in that housing. You could remove some material from the trunion.
Make sure your light housing has the protrusion that goes into the lower receiver.

Re: Small Design Flaw
By protrusion do you mean the plastic tab that fills the gap between light recepticle and barrel? Mine has that and I really am not worried about how the upper and lower fitment looks. I am all about function over form and the Kriss would be a "little" more accurate if the upper and lower were a little more solid.
I still love this platform which is really ideal for CQB, not a long range tack driver.
