My local gun guy just about has me sold on a POF R415 with the NP@ finish in 556. he has one and says that he likes it just as much as his Noveske. he also says it see,s to have slightly better groupings.

i was curious if anyone here jas had experience with POF. i have have heard some bad things about their CS, but that's it.

Thanks.

I have never been a huge fan of POF, i have seen a lot in the ways of QC slip right by but that was a while ago. Let me ask you what do you wanna do with the rifle?

I already have a DI bushmaster with a fluted barrel, Eotech, etc. So Ijust want something a little different. I may set it up for long range shooting. My gun guy says that his POF may be one the most accurate ARs including his Noveske and LWRC. I like the P3 coating and ambi controls. i have also read about some torture tests where Russian ammo was used and that could be a bonus.

Well i would say if your going to go for a distance shooter i would just build it from scratch from the ground up. Model it after the SAM-R specs like we did for a customer with this one.

That way you build the gun to what you wanna do. I have no doubt POF would be a good shooter but me personally i like to have everything into the gun that serves that purpose. Right down to the charging handle. In the end its fun its like building a hot rod from a frame up in your garage. You have pride in it when your done Smile Bragging rights go up with the buddies at the range. lol

Also ambi can be had for about 175 extra on pretty much any AR.

When you say Russian ammo you mean like tula steel, that's all i shoot out of mine for punching paper. I mean if you have a piston gun its going to operate a lot better using steel just cause the chamber isn't going to get dirty as much and coat the rim since steel doesn't expand in the chamber like brass does. People talk a lot of smack on steel ammo but i have yet to have any issues with HK MP5, 9mm/45 pistols, 223 AR's its cheap and works as expected. Been shooting tula for general purpose for 4 years, no extractor issues or anything. Just cant reload it Smile
