OEM Gear and Options
I have the original kit that came in the "TacPac". The sling is a cross branded 1" wide, OEM'd from URBAN-E.R.T. Slings:
http://www.urbanertslings.com/urslllcawkrs.html
The original sling attachment uses a special KRISS metal "plate" that attaches in-between the receiver and the stock, with eyelets at the top and bottom of the stock hinge... using a longer stock pin to hold it together. The plate is "sandwiched" with the stock open. You could either pull the pin to remove the entire sling and plate or there is also the pinch release for just the sling (leaving behind 1/2 of the connector and short section of sling to flap around).
It is a left-side mount only.
(Click on the thumbnail to open it full-size in a new window.)
KRISS USA also offers an attachment point for the sling on top of the folding stock hinge pin, with a quick-disconnect variant.
While still offering the hinge pin options, KRISS USA has since discontinued the plate and uses a top rail mount they call the "Vector Low Profile Rail Sling Mount":
The fine folks at Magpul make a similar product (RSA - Rail Sling Attachment) for $10 less and would be my preference between the two:
I could retrofit the OEM KRISS sling to the new mount and it would have the pinch connect "flapping" on there when not in use (or removed entirely from the top rail with a screwdriver.) An alternative retrofit option would be to use a "HK Style Hook" for a clean snap-in/out:
Magpul also makes a sling called the "MS3 Multi-Mission Sling System" that looks interesting to me too.
Notice the second RSA in front of the optic for a two-point sling attachment. Should be equally possible on the Vector for those that want the option.

Re: Vector Sling
I have the Kriss Sling as well. Im getting the "buckle" sling attachment thanks to a buddy at KRISS. Will post when I get it.
I switched to a MS2 sling in coyote tan.
I have the quick detach sling pin but dislike the fact that the sling goes over the rail and blocks my rear BUIS when it is folded.
I bought the Magpul RSA and while I like it, it takes up space I dont want to use on my rail.

More Buckle Pics
I have updated my post above with 8 pictures of the "buckle" sling plate.

Re: Vector Sling
Very interesting. I can see now how the older style stock works with the buckle. Now I need to find one of those older style stocks haha.
OEM sling switch
Looks like the "new" KRISS USA store is also bringing us a new OEM for the single-point sling: BlackHawk
From the looks of it, I'm expecting a HK-style hook under the attachment rattle/scratch cover too. Use it as-is with the low-profile rail mount, or remove the hook and use it with the hinged sling mount pin configs.

Of course, BlackHawk gear can be purchased for less elsewhere. Just sayin'...

Re: Vector Sling
Yeah but I wonder if this sling will have the iron on KRISS logo like my KRISS sling does.
