Converted a fixed stock to a folding stock using KWA airsoft parts
When I purchased my CRB I got the version with a fixed stock. It wasnt needed for my state but I got it for a good price.
I planned to convert it to a folding stock at some point but did not realize that the folding stock kit was hard to come by, cost $100 and included a whole additional stock that I did not need.
So I ordered some parts to test them out from KWA who makes the airsoft version.

The stock latch, spring and pin cost less than $10.
The latch is anodized aluminum. Its plenty sturdy for the gun and fits perfectly. I did have to file a tiny amount of material off the back for it to release smoothly.
KWA part on the right. the fixed stock latch I had to remove on the left
fits
The pin used in my fixed stock is riveted in. After carefully drilling it off, I saw that it was hollow. So I attempted to drill and tap it. It appears though that the rivet was screwed in before being riveted in since the pin had threads already inside of it. SO I cleaned up the threads with a tap and a spare bolt (which Ill need to paint black to match) let me use the existing pin.
I dont have a picture of the completed folding stock because I also just got the M4 stock adapter and left that on for now.
But it seems that the inexpensive parts over at KWA will work for those wanting to change their fixed stock to a folding stock (assuming its ok on your state)

Yes, except you only need the latch pin for the M4 sock adapter. It does not fold so the only piece that is required is that one pin. If you are going to the fixed stock to the M4 adapter, then you can either try and salvage the existing pin like I did. If you drill off the top fo the rivet carefully you can get to the existing threads underneath.
Or order the latch pin from KWA.

Oh yeah, It should be a challenge to mill out the M4 adapter to make it foldable.

although I do work around a lot of machining equipment, aka drill press.
but I've never fondled a foldable stock, how does it work? what keeps the kwa part/normal stock latch from falling out when the stock is folded?

Here is the parts diagram for the extra parts needed to make the fixed stock into a folding stock
21 is the latch release. 521 is the roll pin that keeps it from falling out. 140, 103 and 511 are the parts to the pin that fits at the articulation point

the pin is $1.75 from KWA

Otherwise, you could bring your stock to a hardware store and look for a roll pin that wound fit
