Re: forms mailed
shot it today, winchester, remington, pmc, privi, blackhills, all 230gr. 1 real jam, sorta a double feed on the blackhills, round ended up being lodged between bolt and below barrel once mag was dropped, screw driver popped it out.
~250 rds today, i had no problems, jam was friend shooting and he locked the bolt back 2x cause he was pressing the bolt release. bolt release bit my thumb once, learn to keep it off there.
i think the winchester shot the best, less smoke, remington was worse smoke. all the groups were good, @25' 20 rds in 2" circle, both of us shooting same with it.
day 4, no stamp..

Re: forms mailed
Did the shell flip back and lodge against the bolt?
Yeah keep your hand away from the bolt release. Try my modified AFG. It will give you a more comfortable grip, higher up along bore axis and slightly improved muzzle control and your hand will be clear of the bolt release.

Re: forms mailed
the ejected round never cleared and next round was pushed from mag when bolt came back forward, when he pulled bolt back to clear ejected round that let the live round that was free from mag come up and stick between bolt and under the barrel, ejected round was above it and had space to fall free then, dropped mag but bolt was already back w/ the good round lodged in it.
if he would have dropped the mag before pulling handle back to clear ejected that other round would have fell out w/ mag and not been there to get lodged i think.
AR world always observe then cycle, better non-combat practice to drop the mag then cycle.

Re: forms mailed
Good to hear. With regards to observe, I adopt that with my KRISS operation. I have had too many jams or operator errors that it is better for me to do a roll and check the chamber before I do anything. Even if it is an empty mag, I check first and not assume. I have assumed in the past, thinking my mag went dry but it was a stovepipe. Or worse a jammed shell. But since I have experienced enough of those with my KRISS, I know how to solve each one.
Lately I still get a half round insertion on a full preban extended mag. the first round only goes in half way. It is odd. I don't quite know why it is doing it. It does do it on my post ban mag with the extension.

Re: forms mailed
I called the ATF, they stated on 12/5 the form went to problem status. Dealer received form 12/14, fixed problems and returned. not..much..longer..
less than 6 months on first return from date mailed..but with form problem going to be over 6 mths.
conjugal visit last thursday, finally got T10 torx for delta point so was going to zero, then i stripped out the locking screw, so that was fun. Just did 50 rds. 20' lots in same hole, 1 FTE. pmc 230 gr.

Your good news has me wondering what happened to mine. My check to BATFE cleared on June 25,2012? I wonder what is going on, they are supposed to handle these as they are received. I guess I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I can get an answer. Congrats on getting yours!

Re: forms mailed
I talked to BATFE/NFA this morning, they told me that my paperwork was approved on Dec. 31, 2012. I told them that I had not received it yet and was told that it could be two weeks to a month for mail out. ?????? Isn't a 6 month + wait long enough?

I noticed that my stamp arrived about 2 weeks after the approval date.
