How To Post Pictures
For posting pictures, I now use a free image hosting service called "imgur" (https://imgur.com). There are other free image hosting places, (including one baked into the forum), but imgur works well for my needs. That's the first step: having your images somewhere on the Internet that the world can get to. When uploading to imgur, I go with the options for no resizing ("original").
After uploading, imgur will give you options for all kinds of link and code formatting for each picture. Instead, look at the image (or images) in your "images" collection. Click on any image. It will bring up the possible code choices. Use the one named "BBCode (message boards & forums)". Click the "Copy" button next to that text/code and paste it right into your post. It will have square bracketed "img" and "/img" tags at each end.
For example,
....will look like this after hitting the "Preview" button or in the final post after hitting the "Send":
Give it a try and if you have questions just let me know. A mod can easily help fix your post if what you pasted looks like this instead of an image:
https://i.imgur.com/IGnyXHI.jpg
For those that use other image hosting service providers, you can paste similarly formatted "IMG code" into your post or use the icon above where you type that looks like a picture with a green ball in the lower right corner and paste in the full URL for your image (without the IMG code surrounding it... that button adds the correct bits of code).
I'll update this post as needed.

Re: How To Post Pictures
Image shack has a fixed size limit of how many images you can upload. I have gone over that quota.
Re: How To Post Pictures
I'm going through my old posts and converting picture links from ImageShack (that killed off the free account) to imgur. It is going to take some time, but imgur looks like the better of the free options at this point. Nice that they provide the "BBCode" with a single click.
I updated the first post with new instructions for imgur.
Thanks for your patience!
