A BIG Thank You to KRiSS USA
My story beings the third weekend of January. I had just finished cleaning, inspecting, and reapplying FireClean after an annual monthly range session. I performed one more function check before placing the firearm into the safe when I noticed the charging handle did not return forward as expected. I again disassembled my KRISS VECTOR SBR. Upon inspection I was shocked to find the charging handle return spring broken in two.
That Tuesday I gave KRISS USA a ring(there warranty department is based in California). A gentleman by the name of David Kawai prompltly answered the phone. After a pleasant 20 minute conversation an RMA repair number was generated and emailed to me with instructions what information was required to have a title II firearm repaired under factory warranty. Several days later all my information was processed and a UPS shipping label was emailed my way.
January 26th the firearm was shipped to Roy at KRISS USA in Virginia Beach. I was instructed that a return UPS tracking would be emailed once the firearm was repaired an on its way back. On February 10th I was surprised to find an email waiting in my inbox stating the firearm was repaired and on it's way home. Last Thursday February 12th I found the package waiting at my door step. Now that is a quick turn around!!!
Thursday night I broke down the weapon and found the complete charging handle spring assembly replaced. After further inspection I was astonished to find an updated hammer assembly installed, the feed ramp to the breech modified and polished to perfection, and new charging handle anchor assembly installed. I must say Roy went over the top with this repair. Below are several photographs depicting the repairs done.
I would like to sincerely thank David Kawai at KRISS USA customer care and Roy at KRISS USA in Virginia Beach(the gunsmith that made the
repair) for all there help and attention to detail. They both went above and beyond my expectations to say the least!!! IMHO KRISS USA is truly
an innovator in firearm technology!!!
An of course the finished product.

Re: A BIG Thank You to KRiSS USA
Unfortunately, when I called and spoke to Kriss USA, I asked for updated parts for my Kriss, as I was getting light primer strikes. I was told there hasn't been any new updated parts (which I know was false). I ended up purchasing the hammer, spring and sear kit from them to repair my Kriss (fixed the light primer strikes), but they sent me a RMA return anyway to have me send in my Kriss for any repair work that it may need. Seemed weird that they don't want to tell you about updated parts, but very anxious for me to send in my Kriss for repairs on my dime. I was told it would be a few weeks turn around as well.

Ezveedub did you send your Kriss into Kriss-USA ? Any update on yours. My vector crb must be a original first run looks like. I purchased mine used. I hate to have to send it in. I'm getting the ftf fte and the other usual problems. Next range visit I'm gonna try the mag spring mod and see if that helps.

Jonj did they charge for the refurb ? My crb is used so I'm sure it's gonna cost me. And it looks like we are in the same county down here in S. Fl.

There was no charge. I was told the warranty
Start date for Title II weapons was when the
Form 4 was approved(which took nearly a year).
I would recommend emailing or calling to see
What your options are. There cc was top notch!
