Gen II CBR missing light adapter ports

I recently bought a CBR and the Aim sport flash light kit. To my dismay the new Gen II CBR no longer has the ports for the light and it's pressure switch. The funny thing is the SBR and SBP both have them. Why would Kriss remove them on the CBR? When I wrote their support they simply stated it was not available on the CBR. Then they suggested mounting it on a side rail. Does anyone have some insight for this change?

The port is not available on ant gen2 kriss when i called. The new shroud on the carbine covers the port anyways. The aim sports air soft light will fall apart after a few rounds anyways.

Thank you for the response. Glad I didn't waste money on the surefire setup but it should have clear my Gen II shroud. I agree it probably wouldn't work for the CRB ENHANCED model.

I thought all gen2s came with the new barrel shroud? Who knows anymore. The surefire xc1 may be a good fit on a side rail, they are pretty low profile.
