Re: SD KRISS Fully Suppressed Carbine
I sent a email to Liberty Suppressors to see if I could get them on KRISS Talk and tell us more about it.
Re: SD KRISS Fully Suppressed Carbine
Hello Everybody,
I was invited to come over and talk a little about the Super V we built into an SD unit a while back.
The SD was born from a client wanting to build an integrally suppressed unit that would only require a single tax stamp. This is the reason the suppressor is so long on the end of the gun.
A few specs about it.
The barrel was shortened to 5" and the suppressor contains a monolithic baffle module that is 10 inches in length that can be removed for cleaning by the end user. The tube is permanently attached to keep the over all length of the barrel over 16" and negating the SBR rules. The tube is 2" tubing which is in keeping with traditional sub-machinegun suppressors and it works very well with all the volume that it has to work with. The suppressor telescopes back over the barrel about 3 inches to create a large expansion chamber that reduces pressure in the suppressor module.
This gun was not easy to work with, the way the barrel is attached to the receiver, we finally built a special lathe fixture to hold it so we could cut the barrel off and recrown it. When working on the design for this unit, we were in contact with Kriss several times and got very good intel on what the gun could handle in the way of pressure and blowback and such. All in all it was a great project.
The video does not do it justice, you have to hear it to believe it. That action makes really weird noises when you remove the weapons bang from the firing sequence!!!
If anybody has any questions about this build I would be happy to answer them for you.
Thanks
David

Re: SD KRISS Fully Suppressed Carbine
Thanks for the info David and accepting my invite.
A lot of people on here asked if there was a way to thread their full length barrel.
Could you guys do this since you're able to cut and recrown the vectors barrel?
