So I have inspired someone.
I am an impatient modder. I do what it takes. I dont even bother with glue most of the time. Anyway here is what I made.

Hand stop is fine for SBR I suppose but your hand will be at an awkward angle. Trust me. The AFG mod is very comfy.

Solscud007, Have you gripped both the AFG1 and AFG2 on the Kriss? Wondering which is preferable in terms of grip angle or other considerations. Maybe a negligible difference, but I'm nitpicky like that. Getting ready to buy and cut into one or the other, not sure which to go with. Did you like the AFG for the long-term? It sure looks like it would provide a better handle on the gun.

Re: KRISS AFG2 mod detailed pics
Klickboom, I have since evolved my shooting grip. Last Feb I experimented with an extended thumb over bore grip. Inspired by Chris Costa's shooting style, I grabbed the barrel shroud.
I found that I can speed up my follow up shots and not sacrifice accuracy. So I picked up the Type 2 shroud and added a rail and full AFG1.
I have an AFG2 for my KSG and there is not much difference in terms of the angle. However the AFG2 is shorter and cleaner as it does not have the curved ends so it can sit flush under something flat and wide.
I like the curved ends on the AFG1 as a thumb rest on the Kriss when I had it on the bottom rail.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Solscud, very helpful. I have the pistol version, so no barrell shroud options. I guess the decision points are whether I prefer the cleaner fitting afg2 or the afg1 with the thumbrest. Very cool mod in either case, looking forward to doing it. Now to find a saw..

You are aware doing this to your SDP would require a Form1 and paying and waiting for a tax stamp correct?

Re: KRISS AFG2 mod detailed pics
I believe that is incorrect. The BATF has addressed this specifically on multiple ocassions, the magpul AFG does not qualify as a vertical foregrip and thus does not require registration of the firearm as an AOW. Please let me know if you have cause to believe otherwise, will be exceedingly grateful.
