KRISS ammo thread
the definitive thread about what kind of ammo youve run in your kriss and hows it worked?
So far all Ive used is Federal Champion 230gr FMJ
its the cheapest ammo at wal mart and great for the price. About 100 rounds in no jams, even with the KCI 27 round mag.

Re: KRISS ammo thread
I've used WWB (winchester white box) but then found out from Daniel DeVilla (one of the gun smiths at KRISS USA) that they have had a couple squibs from WWB.
I have used professional reloads from Mastercast.
I recently used Remington UMC and find sparks flying out of the barrel and chamber upon firing. Not sure what that is all about.

Re: KRISS ammo thread
Ive heard of a few guns not working well with WWB. I just shot about 100 rounds of federal through mine, had it zero'd at 25 yards about 2" high, and took it out to 100 just for shits and giggles. Kriss says 150meter max range on crb models, heres what I got without changing anything on my scope
7 shots, 1 flyer im guessing low. Turned out to be about 8" group, with a shitty bipod, federal 230gr (not the most accurate ammo), and only 4x magnification. And im not a great marksman. Could definately still take out a man size target, maybe even a pig @100yrds. Was penetrating through the board and well into the tree I had my target up against.

Re: KRISS ammo thread
At the tactical carbine class I took in 2010, we zeroed at 50. The class was for ARs but I only had the KRISS and wanted to learn the carbine techniques.
Anyway as you know 50 yd zero for AR equals 200 yd zero. So they had me try the 200 yd man sized steel target. Hold over was a good foot above the head. According to the range officers they could see the round in the air thru the spotting scope. As the rounds hit the target you could hear it and they could see it bounce off the steel.

Re: KRISS ammo thread
Do you remember what grain ammo you were using? And where it was hitting on the target in relation to where you were aiming? On the federal ammo box I use it says a 50 yd zero = 2.3" drop at 100 yards

Sorry I didn't ask. I was shooting at 200 yds with my EOTech. So I could only hear the rounds hit the plate.
Re: KRISS ammo thread
Oh yeah the grain would be WWB. So what ever that grain is. Sorry I dont pay much attention to that stuff.
Re: KRISS ammo thread
Blazer 230gr aluminum cased(non reloadable) functioned reliably in my CRB.
