KRISS Vector CRB Shrouds

Thanks to solvovir, I have a complete collection of KRISS Vector shrouds. Something that solvovir discovered, is that the Type 2 and Type 3 shrouds do NOT work with the updated KRISS vectors. See this thread. http://www.krisstalk.com/t88-kriss-vector-factory-revisions.

Standard KRISS Vector with Type 1 shroud


KRISS with Type 2 M2 holes shroud.

Mine has been slightly modified. I added a magpul MOE rail and AFG.

UPDATE: Confirmed with Nick at KRISS USA. They do make full length shrouds. So they do work with newer barrels and older barrels like mine.

Here they are compared to the stock Carbine shroud. Really it was a length issue. But that has been solved now by making the shrouds longer. If you look closely at my pictures above, you can see my barrel pokes out of the shroud.

How is the Magpul angled forward grip attached, just a through-bolt into the shroud?

No. I bought three different MOE rails. One of them has holes that line up with the holes in the shroud. I then hold the flat nut in place and screw the rail tight. No drilling necessary

According to Kriss Arms Facebook page, they now offer shrouds that fit the updated barrels. I have yet to see one.

I'm really debating on getting a shroud for mine, those look great!

What are the total lengths of these?

The shorter ones in my picture are about 11 inches. The full length carbine one is 12 inches.

Canadian Vectors have a 18.5" barrel. Same minimum length US uses for shotguns. I would estimate the shroud would then be 14.5 inches. We have 16" barrels with a 12" shroud. So since the Canadian barrel is 2.5" longer, the shroud should extend just as much.

Help I was cleaning the barrel shroud and the rubber o-ring came out how to I put the o-ring back?

It is a little tough. It helps if you use like a pencil, pen or chop stick. Place the o-ring in the holse and gently push it in one side at a time.

Any word on the quadrails from kriss???
