I don't see the charging handle. I still think a somewhat vertical charging stroke will be really awkward. Just think, if the current KRISS Vectors are difficult to charge (I had to brace a new one against my shoulder) then exaggerate that with a downward stroke of the charging handle. You would have to put the gun against your knee to brace it.

Will this vertical charging handle be reciprocating?

Also I am curious how you are supposed to manipulate the bolt catch/release. I don’t see where it could be. Possibly it is the hole right above the mag release? With the Vector, you could use your index finger as you pull the charging handle back and engage the bolt catch. everything is done with the support hand. However if the bolt catch/release is above the mag release, then I don’t see how you can manipulate that simultaneously with the downward motion of the charging handle. I hope I am wrong. I do like the option for 9mm. Will the K10 lower be the registered firearm like the Vector? How will CA/NY nanny state versions look like since the K10 has a slither stock?

I believe the reason the current model is difficult to charge is because the charging handle acts on the bolt and you must pull through the camming action of the bolt and carrier. I suspect the new model will be easier to charge in the sense that since the charging handle is attached to the carrier instead, you'll only need to pull against the force of the recoil spring. That said, I agree the angle at which one charge the new model seems like it would be extremely awkward.

everyone talks about thier charging handles being difficult but I don't seem to have any issues with it. I am far from a firearm expert though so I have not actually had a lot of time with many charging handles.

That aside, I Live in Kalifornia...love my kriss, would love to support them with a k10 purchase but I don't see how they can make that thing anywhere near CA legal in anything but a style similar to the SDP. I have not been a huge fan of the K10 style but I am keeping my ear to the ground for the KARD.

Dtalon, you may be an exception. Can you pull the charging handle back without shouldering the Kriss?

The new one, I saw at a local gun shop, could not be charged off the shoulder it was that tough. My Kriss can be charged off the shoulder.

yeah I just tried it right now and it is no problem to charge and engage the bolt lock off the shoulder. actually it is quite easy...I am not a big guy either. 155 lbs soaking wet. Maybe we are just lucky!

**also just had my roommate who has never charged a charging handle on a firearm before did it without needing to brace it either.
