Following on from Solscud007's thread here: http://www.krisstalk.com/t884-finally-my-ar-stock-adapter-is-done I ordered the stock adatper, buffer tube kit and the Magpul MOE stock.

Here is the Tokyo adapter and buffer tube kit. You have to order their buffer tube kit as you can see they are notched to lock together.

The site says it made of aluminium but its really some kind of poly/plastic with a very cheap insert of the screw that stripped out wtf

The back of the buffer tube has a cap that is held on by a tiny screw that you have to remove to slide the locking plate and screw into to screw the buffer tube to the stock adapter.

Here it is on the KRISS:

Even has the same slightly downward angle as Solscud007's.

Now, the adapter is a sloppy fit as the points where the retaining pin for the stock goes are slightly smaller than the KRISS is and makes for a sloppy loose fit. I never got to shoot with the stock because when I went to go tighten the buffer tube the screw that holds it all together pulled out of the adapter. I have a fix for this but will have to wait until i come back in October as I leave back to Dubai tomorrow. The overall look is nice since the adapter has KRISS logo in it and looks like it could of came from KRISS.

Other than the cheap what the mount the parts together and the adapter being loose fitting its a nice setup and I will make it better when I get back in Octeober. I did like the way it felt in the shoulder with right at about an extra 2 inches of length over the KRISS stock.

Interesting. Thanks for the pics.

I am very curious the longevity of that set up. That buffer tube looks a bit thin. When i shouldered mine, it felt GREAT! But when I shot it, it bit me in the cheek a bit.

Since it was intended for AirSoft, as is I don't think it will hold up for very long. The one little screw holding it all together, I don't think has the strength. If they would've molded a bolt into the adapter I think that would of been a stronger option.

Here is the locking plate that goes in the back of the buffer tube that the one screw goes through and screws into the adapter:

The adapter:

This point is all that holds it together:

The OEM KRISS stock with a nice tight fitment:

The adapter with the gap at the bottom. This gave the Tokyo AR stock it's slop and movement.

You might be able to find a nylon washer and trim it to fit inbetween the gap?
