My new Tavor
Just picked this up 2 weeks ago. It is a very comfortable, SOLID, rifle. I was getting 3-4 inch groups at 200 yards with my eotech and magnifier using 55gr bulk ammo.

Very nice indeed. The second video has more detailed info. Look's like no need to form 4, just put on your can and run.

Man, I just can't see paying over a grand for any one gun.

I want one. But first I have to find someone to make it CA compliant. The mag release will be a bitch to convert.

Very nice. As far as paying over $1000.00 for a firearm, the KRISS is a pretty penny.

Actually, the more I look at the mag release, the more it' be simple to make it require a tool to open it.. Simply push out the pin holding the lever, remove it, and replace it with something that needs a tool inserted.
Someone needs to do this!

Re: My new Tavor
my buddy had two but they sold before i stopped down, wasn't going to buy at that price but wanted to fondle one. he said the safety digs into hand, that happen to you? he also said there were parts held together with codder pins (spelling?), might want to replace those. haven't touched one yet but they look plastic-ee, hows the plastic? doesn't look as solid as like a Kriss or a KSG plastic.
4" at 200 w/ bullpup seems good to me, any problem with gas, ejection port right by your face on those.
you really might have a gem if they do an import ban, think i read parts were coming from overseas but put together in US, you end up having one of not that many, few years be pretty good value, heard they've sold on gun broker for $4000 already, retail $2100.

Re: My new Tavor
It feels ten times more solid than the KRISS. The plastic is strong. As far as the safety goes I have not experienced any issues with it. The only cotter pin is holding a sling mount lock in place. If the cotter pin breaks it's still not going anywhere.
If you try to run this like an AR you will not like it. It is just different but very natural. Trigger is heavy but this is not a match gun.
No problems with gas shooting into my face or anything. My glass stays super clean. Idk what else. It is a blast to shoot. VERY DIFFERENT GUN

Re: My new Tavor
i fondled one yesterday, it felt solid, was dark earth, wasn't crazy about that bolt release or the mag release but it's more solid than it looks, feels nice shouldered for sure. i did notice that that safety hits my hand on the left side when in F, not sure how it's not for you guys, it's right under my thumb.

Re: My new Tavor
The bolt release seems awkward until you see why it was designed that way. As you insert a 30 rd mag, it will go into the mag well and lock. Sweep your hand upwards simultaneously and you will hit the bolt release in one smooth motion.
watch this. Travis Haley shows how to use the mag release quickly.
