Re: My KRISS SBR wait
That's weird on the delay for clearing. My trust lawyer told me to use personal checks so I can see when it clears and I sent a form 4 3/10 and it cleared by 3/13. I wonder if the money order reporting that let's you know when it's cleared is delayed.Switchblade wrote:Sent both off on 2/16/12 and one M.O. cleared 3/6/12 and the other 3/13/12.

Re: My KRISS SBR wait
well had a KRISS visitation today and my Ospery came in also and I put 110 down range and it so cool to shoot now suppressed.
Re: My KRISS SBR wait
I sent both of my papers in together with personal checks. Within and estimated 5 days after they would had received them they cleared both of my checks......They never waste anytime taking your money and then making you wait for about 4 months. I am hoping to get my stamps back in June.

SBR and Suppressor Udate
Hello gang! Got my update on my SBR Kriss and Osprey yesterday. Called and talked to a very nice lady about my trust/app. it went to pending on 4/9/12 and 4/2/12 and assigned to Sara Jones and the lady said looks like about mid Oct. to 1st Nov. to receive in the mail. Now its just the long wait but at least got to shoot one suppressed at the Dallas Silencerco shoot. Had a great time there spent most of the day. Also, found out I can get my Kriss SBR'd here locally instead of sending to the factory it will save alot of time. Cheers to All! Rock

Hi, Rock! Who is going to do this work locally? Any concerns about your factory warranty? Are you going SBR from the carbine or the pistol?Switchblade wrote: Also, found out I can get my Kriss SBR'd here locally instead of sending to the factory it will save alot of time.

D'oh! Search is a good thing... I now see you are going from the CRB and having your local guys also do the engraving.mambro wrote:Are you going SBR from the carbine or the pistol?

I'm curious about local guys cutting the barrel though. From other members who've thought about going that route it was determined to not be something too "user friendly" to do after contacting the factory (ruins the trunnion in the removal process). KRISS USA sources the SBR barrels from a 3rd party and does not cut them down directly.
Anyways, just curious... it should be a lot of fun when everything is finished!

Re: My KRISS SBR wait
Hi Mambro Good to hear from you! Met Andrew owner of Atwell Tactical
www.atwelltactical.com about doing it. He says he does it all the time and quoted me $75 to cut and thread (to the same threads of my FN .45 .578x28) to any length I wanted just bring in my Kriss and form 1 w/stamp and it could be done while I wait. Won't be sending it to the factory at a cost of $452! Atwell is a class 3 dealer so he knows all about it. Not really worried about the warranty. I'm getting this done on a carbine. I've shot the heck out of it so far and its doing very well and it will get oiled/cleaned and put away in the very back of the safe for now. I've gone out and bought me an LMT 5.56 this past weekend so it will be shot hopefully in the next few days. The LMT is the CQPBS16 piston system unlike the normal gas impingement system. Already have taken it apart and it looks great inside fit and finish is fantastic. Take care, Rock
P.S.
Replying to your recent post a few minutes ago about doing it local. I'll have to check on that. I wouldn't think he'd do something that would be a problem He might be able to do it without removing the bbl. I don't see why not just thinking you know. Also, not knocking Kriss factory in saying it would ruin the trunion sometimes I think some of these mfgs. will tell anything to get more $$ out of us. Even if it does I'll have him replace the trunion surely it'll still be cheaper than sending it in. Kriss does install a short bbl. at least thats what they said and thanks for your comments!

Re: My KRISS SBR wait
A letter back from the ATF thur. telling us we had the wrong letters for my KRISS. Seem it was transferred to my dealer, labeled as Vector SBR but the ATF want it to say Vector SBR/SO before I can get it.
So in about 15 more days she will be all mine

Don't know if it will do any good to point out to the BATFE that KRISS USA has changed the marketing/branding on their Vectors, dropping the "/SO" (Special Operations) piece. You could point them to the website for Vector Product Specs, SBR specs only, or a link to the Owners Manual that covers all the Vectors and there is no longer any "SO" in it.CatMostFeared wrote:A letter back from the ATF thur. telling us we had the wrong letters for my KRISS. Also, the pictures you posted of your SBR at your FFL are the "new" model where the "/SO" is not stamped into the polymer:
Bah... or just roll with the BATFE's request and get it in 15 days anyways.
