Which high-end sight for your Vector?
Hi guys, I am new around here and was using this site as a resource to plan out my Kriss Vector ownership. Currently, I am waiting for my Form 1 to be approved. There is one thing I do need some advice on: sights.
Some things to keep in mind: I don't want magnification. I have a 3x Aimpoint magnifier to use when sighting it in. I would like to absolute co-witness with the stock Kriss BUIS. I don't want washout. 7 moa is as far as I am willing to go with the reticle unless it is an open one (i.e. nothing covering point of aim).
Which high-end sight do you use and why?
Eotech - I've owned a few of these. I like the 1 moa dot. Dot flares a little with my right eye unless I dim it. Anyone own the 2 dot version? What range would the second dot point of impact be for a Kriss Vector on the 2 dot version?
C-More - Handled them but never used one.
Aimpoint - I own a few T-1s. 2 moa is nice and very light weight with best in class battery life. What size La Rue sight block lines up with an absolute co-winess anyone know?
Trijicon - I am sure I don't want magnification. I own a Dual RMR that does washout in the dark. Anyone run a powered RMR? How is the co-witness with your mount? Anyone own an SRS or a Reflex (RX series)?
Meprolight - Anyone own a Mepro-21 with washout remover? How does it co-witness? Which reticle do you use and why?
If there is any other one that you use but is not listed feel free to comment.
Thanks for the help and advice. - escap0

I've only used the Eotech XPS3 on the Kriss and it works well with and without the sights.

I was leaning towards the XPS3. After your post, it was what I ended up getting. Cheers - escap0

I have the xps3 as well. I also have an older 512 but I like the 3 better on the kriss. I keep the 512 on my AR

I like the size of the XPS3. I have read the only difference between the XPS2 and XPS3 is night vision compatibility as well as the XPS3 being a little more robust (33feet under water as opposed to 10feet).. In any case, I would love to own a PVS-14 sometime, so spending a few more bucks on the XPS3 made more sense for me.
The Eotech reticle is nice, but I really wish there were more reticle options out there. I think the 3-line Kobra reticle on an Eotech would be perfect for a pistol caliber SBR (or pistol). Unfortunately, I doubt that will ever happen.

Re: Which high-end sight for your Vector?
I tried an RMR and a T1 Micro (took them off other weapons of mine) and didn't like either I settled for a 1.5x Trijicon mini ACOG. Love this optic. 1.5x is not so magnified that you cant aim with both eyes open and targets less than 50 yards are not blurry. The slight magnification is great out to 100 yards and past and the sharp green circle with 1 moa dot is very clear as it has an etched reticle. The best thing is that even with bad Astigmatisms in both eyes the reticle is clear and sharp.

If the dot flares for you on an Eotech, you don't want the two dot. It'll probably look like a blurry line.
I plan on getting another Eotech for mine, but I have 20/20 vision. If I didn't, it would be an Aimpoint.
