Newbie with new Kriss
Been working on it for a while ... I like project guns. Used Brownell's Alumi-Hyde II for the color coat. Modified (machined a new one) the barrel shroud and added a spacer. Lasered it with the gun s/n and TDI label. Used electrical shrink wrap to secure the flashlight switch, works a lot better than Velcro. Easy to remove and replace. The flashlight is an Oveready "Frankenstein" of the Surefire. Took me a while to figure out everything I needed to order separately but, way cheaper than the Kriss tactical package. Still breaking it in. That charging spring is pretty stiff.

Re: Newbie with new Kriss
I am very intrigued by your Barrel Shroud faux suppressor. Mind sharing more details about it?
Re: Newbie with new Kriss
For the barrel shroud, I purchased a length of 1/16 wall aluminum tubing the same diameter as the factory shroud. I got a couple solid pieces of solid alum. and turned them to a profile similar to a real suppressor with a step so that they could be pressed into the alum. tube. I bored the appropriate size holes in each for the barrel to pass through and used an o-ring in front like the factory one. In back, I machined a step and used a simple split clamp with 10-32 screws. I masked the split with the same electrical shrink wrap I used the secure the flashlight toggle on the grip pod. I knurled it and then, after painting, lased the side to finish the look.
