Newbie w/ a few questions

Just got my carbine.  Unforunately, it is a CA model.
 
I cannot stand the butten button.  But I can't remove it either as I'd be a risk at a public range.  Anyone come up w/ a good tool that can be attached to the gun ?  Perhaps a plastic pointed object on a tether.
 
Flashlight: what is my best option short of the expensive Surefire light that Krisss sells ?  I've seen some of the old post w/ a variety of lights including a large flood light.  But, I'd like to know what works w/o snipping and attaching wires to different components.
 
Lastly, as I type this message, I cannot even see it.  What setting do I have wrong ?

I dont know why the type comes out like that, mine started doing it as well.
