This same case also comes in a 36" size. You might be able to put the Vector in facing the other direction with the stock folded.

Definitely looks thick enough! Like you say I could flip it around so the gun sits flat and the stock is towards the lid. I'm sure I could still fit my Glock 21, 2 13 round mags, and 7 25+ mags in there.

I must ponder this for a while.....

This will be a fun project after I get the vector finished out. I wouldn't suppose you would share the different thicknesses of foam you used? I was going to start researching where to get the foam from. Thanks

Project affordable KRISS Vector case - Page 2 Empty Pelican 1750 update (URL)

I plopped down the $ for the Pelican through Amazon, as they currently have it on sale. I figured $80 for the added features/durability is worth it. I also have a local foam company that will custom fit a foam blank to the case, but they won't cut. So...I'll buy a blaze red blank for the bottom and some firmer poly (assuming I'll want/need to) for the upper. Scripto tracing and bread knife cutting and I should be good to go violent . Once I get my Vector (lol, already getting stuff for it), I'll post some pics.

A little trick I came across re: foam cutouts, use an electric kitchen (carving) knife. Lay your gear in reverse on the foam, trace with a Sharpie, cut out with the e-knife, then flip it over.
