I finally replaced what little remained of my stock buffer pad. Mine was the old version and was almost all deteriorated. I dug out the rest from the hole in the slider. I looked in the hole and the bottom seems pitted.

Does yours look like this? I don't think it is anything to be concerned about as I have been shooting my KRISS for a while now.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just stick a new one in there.
