Broken ejector on new vector
I just purchased a Kriss Vector and a small piece fell off the gun I field stripped the gun and discovered it was from the bolt. It still functions properly haven't shot it since I realized it though. Should I register it and send it in or live with it. I've only shot 50rds through it and don't want to part with it for a few months. Ill try to attach pictures. Any help is appreciated.

I emailed Nick a few weeks ago and still haven't heard from him yet.
I would definitely register it regardless. pieces falling out is never a good omen.
maybe open a photobucket account, post it on there and then link it on here

Problem with registering is I might put a stock on it and I need to notch the Allen screw to remove it and I heard that voids the warranty

Re: Broken ejector on new vector
It looks like the magazine stop, what it appears to be for is to only allow the mag to go up into the gun and stop at a certain point, so it is below the movement of the bolt. Kinda like a bumper stop for your car tire, only for the magazine. If you put a mag in and look from the top you will see what I am talking about. Looking at mine that little tang that sticks out off of it(the broken part on yours) dosen't look real heavy duty. IMO It also looks like if this had broken back further, it could cause a magazine retention problem. (IMO I am not a gunsmith.) Let us know what you find out. Thanks.

Re: Broken ejector on new vector
No!!! That is your ejector!!!! get that sent in ASAP.
The KRISS Bolt has a claw, like most bolts. It is the extractor. It grabs the rim of your 45 casing and as the bolt moves backward, it "extracts" the shell.
The part that broke is apart of the lower receiver and NOT the bolt. That part would normally be a fixed hard point that pushes on the round at about 7-8 o'clock position on the back of the casing as it is pulled back by the bolt. This then causes the round to move in the path of least resistance and out the ejection port.
It functions similarly to a Glock ejector. Look at the picture below. See the nail like pointy protrusion? That is what the broken part in your KRISS is supposed to do.

Re: Broken ejector on new vector
Here is a picture of how it should look, not broken. See how the bolt is retracted into the slider race off to the far right? And you can see the curved rectangular ejector piece sticking forward into the mag well space?
Re: Broken ejector on new vector
I put 5 rounds through it and sure enough jammed b/c it didn't eject the shell. Emailed Nick and no response and then called and left a message and still no response. I'm up shit creek with a $2000 paperweight. I know everyone is back logged right now so all I can do is wait for a response. Thanks again for naming the problem

No problem. Your timing is bad. Shotshow is happening this week. I will bring it up with Kriss USA. Nick Ferros is not going so he should respond.
