Broken carrier spring on new Kriss?

I just picked up my new Kriss Vector last week and took it to the range this past weekend and shot apx 120 rounds – all worked great! The issue came when I took it home and let a friend play with it. He was racking it over and over and appeared to break something (see photo). Looks like the bolt carrier spring. I am surprised this would be so fragile, and when I saw the spring also surprised a spring so small would appear to be such a critical part. I have not shot the gun since but I did see a YouTube video that advised grabbing the cocking lever very close to the frame which makes sense. It was hard to rack the gun but I understand why that may be now, due to the design of the downward slider.

I did send Nick at Kriss an email today since my call to Kriss on Monday has gone unanswered.

Any thoughts on what I need to do?
• Can I simply get a new spring from Kriss and install it myself? If so I would actually like 2 springs so I have a backup in case it happens again. I would need some instructions on how to swap this out.
• Do I need to send it back?

That is the return spring for your charging handle. I dont have my Kriss handy but take a look where it connects to it.

My vecgor is easy to charge with a single finger. But mine is old. Newer Vectors have been hard to charge pretty much almost across.the board.
