Anyone through a few thousand rounds with their Vector?
Just curious how many folks have gotten through a few thousand (3000+) with their Vector. Just curious what folks have found from a durability perspective.

I think I'm about 800 so far. Perhaps 1000. Holding up good.

At 1000, no problems. A couple of stove pipes, bad ammo, but that's about it. It will charge just using 2 fingers.

I think I am over 4K with my vector.
It has worn down. ejections are erratic. I get brass that doesnt eject and bolt closes on it. Possibly my mag catch is worn as Gen 4 mags fall out when the gun jams.
We shall see how it performs when I get it back from KRISS.

Just watched your vid about the malfunctions...that is a bit worrisome to say the least. Look forward to hearing how it performs when you get it back.

Re: Anyone through a few thousand rounds with their Vector?
I'm close to 2000 rounds but only had problems with some bad ammo
Re: Anyone through a few thousand rounds with their Vector?
Just finished running 1000+ rounds through my CRB but in a different way. It was not cleaned or lubricated in order to check durability of the weapon. No ftf or fte, no mag drops or other malfunctions. It will now charge with two fingers when the bolt charging handle is pulled back, ejects a loaded round with 25 rounds in the 30 round extension and 13 in the standard mag. I only run 25 rounds in the 30 round extension mag for reliability, found anymore was a problem when I first got my Kriss, so stayed with 25 after some trial runs. Ammo, for me was anything that was round nose 230 grain, worked fine and this was from brand a to z, this also included some test reloads. I will be taking it apart tomorrow, time permitting, to check for any unusual wear or other problems. It still feels quite tight, so I really do not anticipate finding any problems, if I do I will post them as they appear with pictures. Serial # is in the 4700 range.

Wow. I can't find (or barely afford) a few thousand rounds these days...

.45 ACP
Friend called to let me know about some .45's for sale, so I thought I would put this up. A little expensive, but may not last long, these are 185 grain. Also some extended mags, not sure of the quality.

30,880 rds through my SBR
HI all I am new to the forum and seen this thread I have a 08 SBR with 30.880 rds and is working GREAT!!! I live in Va Beach Va 1 mile were the Kriss is made and have been there many times, sometimes for up grades and repairs... I really like my SBR & I keep a log of all my rounds fired issues & any repairs made as well as up grades.. It just take it up yhereis nice to be so close were the Kriss is made, if I got an issue I just take it up there & drop it off & get a week or so later. I was one of the first 50 or so to have the SBR done with the stamp there at TDI.. I was also able to help test verious patrs & up grades in my weapon sense I shot it so much & lived so close. I will be droping my Kriss in the next few weeks to have the latest mods dont to mine! mike

Over 3000 rds now and issues were all within first 250 rds. Mostly ammo type related... Still running strong. SDP is less than 3 months old. Very happy with my Kriss.

Re: Anyone through a few thousand rounds with their Vector?
Hi- I just joined the forum, and was poking around when I found this thread.
I bought the Kriss carbine after a little research, and decided that I wanted to try it out as a camp gun/ boat gun. It seemed to be a loose (not sloppy, just loose) tolerance gun, and would be forgiving in less than ideal conditions. It also appealed to me due to the fact that I would be able to put ALOT of grains down range quickly with fast follow-ups due to less recoil/barrel rise (unlike the AK). I have now owned the carbine for 4 years, and have nothing but praise for the design. Never had a FTF or FTE, after approximately 7000-7500 rounds. It's been both partially and completely submerged and it still worked, had the barrel accidentally plugged with mud/sand then shot (not proud of that one) and it still worked, dropped/fell/run over with a 4wheeler and it still worked. I clean it after every trip in the boat or on the 4wheeler, and it still shiny & pretty on the inside, and kinda scraped up & ugly on the outside. Tack driver at 50-75 yards, 6 inch drop out to 100 yards, gets unreliable (as in bullet drops like a rock) after that, but I bought it for close protection around the woods/water anyway, so no biggie. Thus far, it has shot anything I put in the mag. Dirty ammo makes a dirty gun ( Of course), and different ammo has different ballistic drops ( of course), but taken as a whole, it shoots anything I shove into it and it shoots where I aim it with no complaint.
My final endorsement: I used to carry an AK with me everywhere in the bush and on the water because I needed a reliable weapon. Now I carry the Kriss. If a gun can make me put down the AK, that is a GOOD gun.
Sorry such a long post. Shoot safe.

33,500 rounds as of 8/5/14
I hit the 33k mark this past weekend I am now starting to have some issues with FTE and at times it will jamm with the fried case not leaving the ejection port and jamm backwards sometime I have to use my knife to get the case out, it is also starting to lightstrike as well. I called and talked to Charlie at Kriss USA as soon as there work load drops off in October I am going to drop my SBR off to have it upgraded, Lucky for me I live 1 mile from were the Kriss is made here in Va Beach. I have been there many times to see how things are made... Over the the past 5 years sense I had my SBR it has worked good but in the early days when I first got it I had a few issues with mine, it has been a fun weapon easy to handle and accurate but its not my go to gun anymore, I see many people on this forum having FTF's & FTE's, I would rather grab my Saiga 12 or my UZI, who knows I will see in October after I get it back and see how it runs or mabe the thrill is gone?
