Which Eotech

I am now a proud owner of a Kriss Vector!!  I was looking last week at a few forums and I thought I remembered reading somewhere which Eotech the Kriss was designed to use with.  I thought it was between the 512 and Xps2.  I would like to be able to use the Kriss BUIS with the eotech so I know I do not want the QD release as it would sit to high and want it to sit as low as it can.  Ive looked through the forums and cant seem to find it.   Any info would help.  Thanks!

I personally chose to go with the XPS2.  A very compact sight for a very compact firearm.  The Kriss BUIS can also still be utilized.

Really its just whatever you prefer. You stated you dont want the QD model so just go with the ones that arent QD and has the features you want...NV/2 dot/size etc. For me co witness wasnt a priority so I chose the Exps 2-0. I like that if im ever in a situation where batteries go out i can quickly switch to irons. Plus I like where the battery is and button location.

So with the xps2 the sights are not co witness? If so why? Height? The 512 would be?

The KRISS "TacPac" comes with a 512.A65/1 I'm using a 517 on mine.

You can google what eotech co witnesses with the kriss and find a lot of info including threads from this site. one of the mods mentions he uses the 512 for the absolute co witness ability.

Yeah mine uses a 512. The XPS2 will co-witness but lower 1/3. My 512 will co-witness 1/2. So the BUIS will appear to sit taller in the window.

It is personal preference.

I have a 512 on one and an XPS2-2 on another and they both absolute co-witness. The EXPS line and any of the 7mm raised Eotechs such as the 517 will not absolute co-witness.

Are you sure you don't mean the EXPS2 will co-witness lower 1/3? My XPS2 is absolute co-witness both with the old and new Kriss BUIS just like my 512.

Correct: the XPS2 is absolute co-witness, the EXPS2 is lower 1/3. The EXPS sits slightly higher due to the quick release mount.
