Third time out KRISS VECTOR .45 ACP CBR
Took the KRISS VECTOR CBR out again between monsoon showers to day and tried it out with a 3X SigTac Compact Prismatic Rifle Scope on it and open sights. Shooting stated at 25yards and moved to 50 and finally 75yds ending at shooting at a 10" Steel Gong at 100 yds. I shot Plated FMJ, Cast RN, Wolf Steel Case 230 FMJ and some Cast Lee 230 Gr HP's loaded over 6 grains of WW 231. I had 2-3 failure to clear the ejection port on one Wolf and 2 of the reloads. The gun had picked up the next round and chambered it but the fired case got hung up. I didn't have any FTF's this time. I shot about 150-175 rounds. Sighted in the scope at 25 yds and moved out to 50 and 75 yds. Took the scope off and tried the open sights to make sure they were still on and then reinstalled the scope and shot again at 25yds. The scope didn't need adjusted. I then proceeded to try the 10" gong at a 100 yds. After a few misses I figured out where I needed to hold to hit it. Holding at the top of the gong resulted in a hit every time. The KRISS Vector CBR is a fun little toy that just needs to be broken in and shot. I still say the Hammer spring is weak.

Hugo, you might want to read the part about recommended ammo for the KRISS?

Re: Third time out KRISS VECTOR .45 ACP CBR
Nope, I have a Colt 1911 Combat Elite, a Fire Star and a S&W 1917 all in .45 ACP. I have a Ruger PC 4 in .40, an ASA 9 MM AR, two Destroyer Carbines in 9 Largo, and two Marlin 1894's, one in .357 and .44 Mag. None of those came with a BS list of "recommended" ammo. I shoot cast lead out of all my PC's, (pistol caliber carbine's) The Kriss is a .45 ACP Carbine. As long as my reloads meet SAAMI, the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute, specs, it will get fed reloads. I don't hotrod them and I am below max loads a few tenths, been loading .45 ACP for like close to 30 years. Shoot what you want out of yours....... I will continue to shoot what I want out of mine. "recommended" ammo, Please! If someone can't design and semi auto to function 100% with .45, then something is wrong. The KRISS will never be a tack driver, sights are on the upper receiver and the barrel is on the lower and they move around a bit. It should function a 100%. I bought it as an interesting toy, nothing more. Oh wait, I forgot, I have a S&W 76 Clone, MK760 Full Auto Sub gun. Guess what, it runs almost 100% or pretty close to it shooting cast lead reloads and just about anything else that isn't Wolf steel case. It was designed to run on FMJ at the time it was made. That is all they had! "recommended" please!
